Providence Academy Announces Summer Weight Training Program!
Providence Academy is excited to offer its Summer Weight Training Programs, providing student-athletes with an opportunity to build strength, confidence, and athletic performance in a structured and supportive environment.
This summer, Providence Academy will host an 8-week Middle School Summer Weight Training Camp designed specifically for students entering 7th and 8th grade. The program serves as an introduction to weightlifting, focusing on proper technique, safe training habits, and long-term athletic development.
Throughout the program, participants will receive hands-on instruction from trained staff, learning correct lifting mechanics and how to safely use equipment in the weight room. Emphasis will be placed on building a strong technical foundation before increasing intensity, helping athletes develop strength while reducing the risk of injury.
Athletes will be introduced to core lifts that are essential to strength training, including the squat, bench press, and deadlift, along with Olympic-style movements such as the power clean and power snatch. The program is open to both boys and girls of all experience levels, making it a great opportunity for beginners and developing athletes alike.
Training sessions will take place Monday through Thursday from June 15 through August 13, with no sessions during the week of July 6. Each session will run from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Providence Academy weight room.
The cost of the program is $200.
This is a great opportunity for young athletes to take the next step in their development, learn proper training habits, and prepare for future athletic success.
Spots are limited, and families are encouraged to register early.
