Mason Johnson

Mason Johnson began coaching after multiple concussions ended his playing career at Chanhassen High School. That experience shaped his transition from athlete to mentor, with a strong focus on player safety, development, and long-term growth.

As the leader of the Lions Lacrosse program, Mason is committed to creating a positive, inclusive environment where athletes can reach their full potential. He emphasizes both skill development and character building, striving to ensure success is measured not just by wins, but by the growth of each player on and off the field.

Joseph McMahon

Varsity Assistant Coach

Joseph McMahon is a proud alumnus of the University of St. Thomas, where he played defense for the Tommies lacrosse program from 2014–2017 and was a member of the 2016 MCLA National Championship team. He graduated from the Opus College of Business in 2017.

Joseph currently works at Cargill, where he has developed strong leadership, strategy, and teamwork skills. He brings those qualities to the lacrosse field as a coach, with a passion for mentoring young athletes and helping develop the next generation of players and leaders.
