Providence Academy Softball Set for Saturday Showcase at the Dome
The Providence Academy Lions softball team is set to take the field this Saturday, March 28, for an exciting early-season showcase at the Providence Academy Dome. The Lions will host a pair of strong programs in a two-game slate, taking on Benilde-St. Margaret’s and Hill-Murray School.
The showcase presents an excellent opportunity for the Lions to test themselves against quality competition as they prepare for the upcoming season. With a roster featuring a mix of experienced upperclassmen and talented young players, Providence Academy will look to set the tone early.
Leading the way for the Lions is a deep and balanced lineup, highlighted by senior leadership from players like Taylor Asche, along with key contributions from juniors Audrey and Isabella Rampetsreiter. The team also features a strong underclass presence, including several seventh and eighth graders who will play meaningful roles.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s enters the showcase with a solid varsity roster, bringing experience and depth across the field. Meanwhile, Hill-Murray boasts a well-rounded group with a blend of upperclass talent and promising younger players from the classes of 2026 through 2029.
Saturday’s showcase will not only provide competitive game action but also give fans an early look at the Lions’ development heading into the spring season. Playing at home inside the dome allows Providence Academy to get valuable reps while Minnesota weather continues to fluctuate.
First pitch is set for 10am, Saturday at the Providence Academy Dome. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Lions as they open their season against two strong opponents.
