September 24, 2026

Providence Academy senior forward Gavin Sattler has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Prince Albert Raiders, marking another significant milestone in his hockey career.

Sattler, a 2009-born forward from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, was invited to the Raiders’ training camp in Prince Albert at the end of August. His performance at camp helped earn him an opportunity to continue his development within the Raiders organization.

“Gavin is a tremendous skater and we believe that he is just scratching the surface of his potential,” said Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt. “He got better every day at camp and took that experience back to the Elite League to get off to an explosive start.”

Sattler has continued that strong start into the 2026-27 season, currently leading the MN High School Elite Hockey League with eight goals and five assists through 10 games.

During the 2025-26 season, Sattler made an impact at both the high school and Elite League levels. He recorded 21 goals and eight assists in 27 games for the Providence Academy Lions varsity team, while adding nine goals and seven assists in 21 games with MPLS St. Paul.

Sattler's combination of skating ability, offensive skill and continued development has earned recognition from the Raiders, who are excited to follow his senior season with Providence Academy.

“We’re excited to follow his high school team as they chase a state championship, and we can’t wait to have him back in Prince Albert as we believe he will be a great player in our league,” Hunt said.

Providence Academy Athletics congratulates Gavin and his family on this accomplishment and looks forward to following his continued success throughout the 2026-27 season.

Congratulations, Gavin!
